Full Description
This position works under minimal direction with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Oversees and assists with the implementation of the AMD contract. Interacts with users of all levels to assure all agency needs are being satisfied and ensuring implementation of a modernized solution base to move the agency forward. Work directly with the team of systems technical stakeholders who evaluate IT deliverables produced by vendors adheres to agency standards. Reviews standards, guidelines and policies relating to deliverable documentation to ensure team is adhering to contract and amendment specifications. 30%
Assist with work assignments of technical stakeholders to ensure appropriate IT support is provided on out-sourced initiatives. Work with the vendors to facilitate the changeover of work and responsibilities in contract implementations. Identify any gaps in process or procedures for identifying and assigning IT resources and develop mitigation plan. 20%
Oversees vendor compliance with IT related contract requirements. Attends meetings, monitors deliverables and reviews submitted documentation to ensure established procedures are being followed. Identifies inconsistencies discovered, documents and reports to management for mitigation. 20%
Leads or participates in workgroups following HHSC IT governance standards, policies, and procedures. Represent vendor IT oversight during workgroup discussions to ensure policies, timelines and processes are being adhered to. Review meeting minutes for action items team is responsible for and ensure appropriate resources are assigned. 10%
Analyzes the IT component of various projects to identify risk factors and develops various mitigation strategies to reduce. Risk analysis should include identification, description, impact, assignment, mitigation, and categorization. Oversees tracking of identifies risks and reports any change or impact to the project. 10%
Oversees and coordinates the reporting of project. Develops effective mechanism for the reporting of all service request and change orders to the executive level. Emphasizes management action items, budget, risk and issue reporting, milestones, program stakeholders and overall project status. 10%
Skill in Agile Methodology.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field. Education and experience may be substituted for one another on a year- for- year basis.
