Overview

The AOT Contract Administration Bureau seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our services procurement and contracting section. The position will work in a fast-paced setting dedicated to innovation, continuous improvement and excellent customer service to internal and external customers.


The Contracts Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently procuring, preparing and processing various services contracts ranging from janitorial to engineering and design services. This position coordinates with the Agency's federal partners and is responsible for regulatory compliance. A high level of accuracy and an eye for detail are crucial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently to ensure the highest customer service are required.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in an office setting. Incumbent interacts with internal and external customers requiring professional conduct.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in public administration, accounting, business management or related field AND two (2) years or more of experience in the review and/or administration of government contracts, grants and agreements, maintenance or construction processes, public administration, law, or a related field.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years or more of experience in the review and/or administration of government contracts, grants and agreements, maintenance or construction processes, public administration, law, or related field.

OR

Two (2) years or more of experience as an AOT Contracts Specialist Ill or AOT Contract Administrator III with the State of Vermont.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional experience in a government setting.
