New Job Special Education Coordinator In New Hampshire

The Somersworth School District is seeking a qualified candidate for Special Education Coordinator. This position will work alongside another Special Education Coordinator supporting the special educational staff, faculty, and building level administrators to ensure the appropriate delivery of special education and related services. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with established special education policies, procedures, and/or regulations, understanding and disseminating information on the instructional needs of Somersworth and Rollinsford special education students, and the monitoring of data to make informed decisions.REPORTS TO: Superintendent ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SHARED BETWEEN TWO COORINDATORS: 1.Case management of out of district students2.Assists with LEA representative duties for students in grades PK to 123.Acts as a liaison between DCYF involved students and the school they are attending4.Liaison between the Court and School District(s)5.Coordinates educational services for students who are homeless.6.Maintains a data base for students who are in out of district placements, homeschooled, and homeless.7.LEA Representation at private and charter schools8.504 Oversight9.Assists with budget management for Special Education10.IDEA Grant management11.Any other duties as assigned by the SuperintendentEDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: 1.3 to 5 years experience as a special education administrator and/or special education teacher preferred. CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: 1.Certified or eligible for certification by the New Hampshire Department of Education in Special Education is required.
