What You Will Do
This position will serve as the Park Manager for North Point Recreation Area, Randall Creek Recreation Area, Pease Creek Recreation Area, North Wheeler Recreation Area, and several Lakeside Use Areas. The Park Manager provides administrative assistance to the District Park Supervisor e.g.: accounting for park revenue, permits, and deposits; managing a point of sale system; as lead worker for the permanent park staff (in the District Supervisor's absence), fee collection staff, and volunteer staff; coordinating campground reservations; compiling statistics for monthly reports; serving as a contact point for park users; coordinating special event requests and working with outside venders and volunteers to host these events; attending public meetings and events; and writing contracts and monitoring contractor's work based on park rules and contract specifications. The position will also perform the following maintenance duties: building maintenance and janitorial duties of park facilities; assisting with daily maintenance of the park grounds, campsite areas, trails, and boat ramps throughout the park district.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience in
- Parks/Recreation management;
- supervision and the ability to be organized and self-motivated;
- an online reservation system;
- Microsoft office and excel;
- operating a Point-of-Sale system;
- performing accounting tasks needed for managing park revenue and expenses;
- Grounds/Facility maintenance and equipment operation;
- office procedures;
- purchasing and inventory procedures;
- voucher processing;
- bank deposits and other fiscal operating procedures;
- large event management.
