About the Human Resources Department:
The Human Resources (HR) Department ensures effective selection, development, and retention of the City's workforce. This includes recruitment; testing and selection; salary and fringe benefit administration; workers' compensation administration; training and development programs; and policy and procedure development. Duties
What You'll Do:

Collaborate with department managers to assess the professional development needs of employees.

Conduct needs assessments, design, create, coordinate and deliver City-wide training programs and activities.

Evaluate and modify training programs for maximum effectiveness in meeting specific learning objectives.
- Support employees in identifying and pursuing professional development opportunities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support organizational development and training opportunities.
- Communicate with employees and stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for organizational development and training goals.
- Assist departments in assessing staff development needs including training, goal setting, and performance planning; coach management staff on employee issues and assist employees with individual development of skills and abilities, facilitate team building activities designed to set direction or enhance interpersonal relationships.
- Coordinate the development and support of various employees’ task teams and committees; determine specific tasks; assist in allocating resources; communicate needed information and timeframes.
- Evaluate training programs offered by outside trainers and consultants to determine their ability to meet the City's training needs; network with other agencies to develop reciprocal working relationships and to further in-kind training opportunities; identify and evaluate internal training resources.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For:

Three (3) years of professional experience in the creation, coordination and presentation of employee training programs.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in adult education, organizational development, human resources or a related field.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver’s license.
