This position requires a security background check, including fingerprints and a bachelor’s degree as a condition of employment. Employees of the Department of Children and Families are paid on a bi-weekly pay cycle. Any omission, falsification, or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process and organization. This position functions as the lead coordinator with the Director for communications (external and internal) regarding the licensing programs, its policies, achievements, challenges and goals, public awareness, through our website, publications, and social media outlets (in collaboration with the Communications office).

Specific job-related duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serves as the Legislative Liaison for the Office of Licensing, providing Legislative assistance to director. Provides programmatic assistance to licensing staff throughout the state as needed. Assists and researches policy issues to ensure the program is up to date on current local, state, and national trends. Responsible for providing reports and data analysis for licensing programs monthly, or ad hoc. Participates in the technical writing of developing rules and procedures for licensing purposes and prepares correspondence, as requested. Provides oversight of the licensing systems and provides timely and accurate input to system developers to ensure updated functionality in a timely manner. Participates in workgroups or other projects and represents the Office of Licensing at community meetings that include public and private partners, advocacy groups, regional licensing units, etc.
