Performs maintenance operations on the grounds of PHS - Albuquerque facilities. Plant Services III will serve as lead person for other Grounds department employees and perform weekly maintenance of lawns, shrubs and irrigation systems

- High School, plus trade or vocational school in grounds maintenance related fields.
- State applicators license in grounds maintenance.
- Three or more years experience in general grounds maintenance.
- Must have valid driver license and be insurable.
Education:
Essential: * High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities:
- Performs all levels of grounds maintenance according to posted schedules or on an as needs basis.
- Performs and/or guides other employees in weekly or as needed maintenance of department equipment.
- Provides leadership and gives direction and/or training to employees with less experience.
- Continuously improves technical knowledge and skills through participation in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Acts as a resource to improve the technical knowledge of other employees.
- Supports organizational visions, values and strategies
- Handling and packaging of Universal Waste; florescent bulbs, batteries, mercury containing equipment
- Proper labeling of Universal Waste containers including accumulation start date
- Knowledge of Universal Waste accidental release procedures
- Understanding of infrequent disposal of hazardous waste; flammables, toxics, oxidizers, corrosives
- Handling and packaging of Used Oil/Used Hydraulic Fluids for proper disposal
- Proper labeling of Used Oil containers including accumulation start date
- Knowledge of Used Oil/Used Hydraulic Fluid accidental release procedures and collection/clean up
- Handling and packaging of Universal Waste; florescent bulbs, batteries, mercury containing equipment
- Proper labeling of Universal Waste containers including accumulation start date
- Knowledge of Universal Waste accidental release procedures
- Understanding of infrequent disposal of hazardous waste; flammables, toxics, oxidizers, corrosives
- Handling and packaging of Used Oil/Used Hydraulic Fluids for proper disposal
