Job Description
Wynn Las Vegas has an in-house 24/7 full-service Entertainment Production Services Department to accommodate audio-visual and technical requests associated with convention, exhibit, private and catered event functions. Customer support for our clients is the number one factor that determines our department success.
The Junior A/V Technician being an entry level position will primarily be assigned as load in/out supervisors and escorts. They will also be schedule for A/V training to better enhance their skillset should they wish to step up into a A/V Technician position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assigned to load in/out supervision and escort shifts.
- Works alongside other A/V Technicians in a team environment but may also be called upon individually for certain tasks.
- Completes A/V room setups and strikes per detailed equipment lists as needed.
- Operates basic audio mixers, lighting controllers and Crestron control panels.
- Attends to guest calls and resolve any Audio / Video technical issues.
- Informs and updates EPS Operations or Lead Technicians of changes relating to events.
- Assist in maintaining all EPS shops and areas to ensure a clean and organized work area.
- Completes all assigned production tasks that are designated by Operations or Lead Technicians.
- Work demeanor to be always conducted in the utmost professional manner.
- Ensures that all Wynn Las Vegas core values, property, and department standards are Implemented and applied.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Experience / Education:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) years’ experience with large scale, location based, live theatrical production and convention/special events.
- Ability to calculate AC power requirements and balance loads.
- Required current OSHA 10 General Industry Safety card.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work under pressure as well as manage logistics.
- Willing to define, practice and conform to safe working procedures.
- Knowledge of OSHA health and safety protocols is required.
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills with proven talents in leadership, safety, and teamwork.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel a plus.
- Technicians will become certified to operate fork and scissor lift equipment. (This is an OSHA requirement.)
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
- Models a professional and polished appearance as required by company guidelines.
- Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
- Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
