Coke Florida is looking for an Area Fleet Manager based out of our Tampa location. We’re currently looking for first shift, working Mon-Fri.

What You Will Do: As a Coke Florida Area Fleet Manager, reporting to the Fleet Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing and supervising the activities of the Fleet Mechanic team. The Area Fleet Manager will oversee 3-5 Fleet Supervisors in a designated geographic location. This role will require travel to Jacksonville

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overseeing multiple facilities in a geographical location
  • Ensure accuracy of documentation generated by employees at Coke Florida/vendor shops for all maintenance activities
  • Generate capital refurbishment schedule based on need and available capital funding
  • Provide training for -all subordinate personnel
  • Assist with improving and refining performance indications, identified areas of improvement
  • Assist subordinates in making decisions concerning efficiency of shop operations
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs are performed in a cost-effective manner
  • Supervise operations to ensure compliance according to Company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
  • Ensure that parts inventories are maintained at correct efficiency levels
  • Coordinate members of all functional areas to ensure that equipment needs are met
  • Ensure that all vehicles are prepared for transfer or disposal as needed
For this role, you will need:
  • High School or GED
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, ideally in a fleet and/or warehouse environment
  • Previous experience as a diesel technician highly desired
  • Ability to provide direction to subordinates in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to delegate work and manager his/own and teams productivity
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to lift and move items in excess of 50 lb
  • Must have a driving record with no major moving violations in the last three (3) years*
  • Major moving violations include, but are not limited to, leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, and reckless driving. Minor moving violations include, but are not limited to, speeding, driving too close, failure to stop, and improper lane changes. Driving records, including minor moving violations, will be evaluated according to Coke Florida guidelines to determine eligibility for the Fleet Manager position.
Additional qualifications that will make you successful in this role:
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driving License preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
