The Benefits Communications Coordinator supports our Employee Health and Benefits clients as they look to educate their employees on their benefit offerings. This position works directly with clients, sales and service team members, our Benefits Communications Manager, and our graphic designers to help execute on each client’s benefits communication strategy, aligning messaging and design to the client’s benefit goals and brand.
Responsibilities:
BENEFITS COMMUNICATIONS
- Works directly with our Benefits Communications Manager, clients, sales, and service staff to execute on each client’s employee communication strategy and plan
- Writes, edits, and project manages employee communication collateral and projects including, but not limited to: benefits summaries, benefits microsites, benefits surveys, email campaigns, posters, flyers, digital signage and more
- Collaborates with graphic designers to ensure visual consistency and brand alignment across each client’s suite of communication collateral
- Tracks benefits communication deliverables and bills clients through agency management system
- Ensures collateral library of turnkey campaigns as well as benefit summary and other templates are continually refreshed from a graphic and content perspective
- Builds new turnkey campaigns and templates for clients as design and benefits trends shift
- Manages translation services per client request
INTERNAL CLIENT SERVICE
- Develops working relationships with producers and service team members to become an integrated extension of their team and work together to understand client needs and use as an opportunity to create services or find tools to address their issues
- Partners with other client facing colleagues who similarly service our clients (e.g. Wellness, Technology, etc.) to ensure one cohesive approach and timeline to address client goals and needs
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Manages time effectively to prioritize workload, client service requests and service parameters
- Sees the project through the approval process
- Adheres to project deadlines
REQUIRED:
- 1+ years of marketing, communications, public relations, or insurance experience
- Strong written, oral communications and project management skills
- Local travel within the Chicagoland area
PREFERRED:
- BS/BA in marketing, public relations, communications, business, or a related field
- Familiarity with employee benefits programs
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of AP style guidelines
