The Managed Accounts Platform Strategy & Development team seeks to hire an experienced Associate to manage large scale platform integration projects. The candidate must have considerable Project Management experience within the asset management space, preferably in Private Banking. The candidate is expected to plan, execute and communicate on high level complex projects, interacting with team members at multiple levels, including senior management.

Position Description

The Managed Accounts Platform Strategy & Development team seeks to hire an experienced Associate to manage large scale platform integration projects. The candidate must have considerable Project Management experience within the asset management space, preferably in Private Banking. The candidate is expected to plan, execute and communicate on high level complex projects, interacting with team members at multiple levels, including senior management.

The WM Managed Products Operations team supports the discretionary business offered by Global Private Bank and US Wealth Management, which consists of the Chase Wealth Management and JP Morgan Americas businesses, representing in excess of $640 billion in AUM across 900k accounts.

The role requires the ability to deal with complex business challenges, tight deadlines, competing priorities and interaction with the senior management team. The individual must have a proven track record of managing in an operations organization. The qualified candidate will be responsible for strategic implementation and program governance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead projects related to operations and technology for the Managed Product Operations including organizational and process analysis, and new product and technology initiatives
  • Coordinate with various areas of Operations, Finance, Technology and Senior Management to build business requirements, procedures and processes
  • Partner with Technology Plan and Development teams to create strategic solutions to oversee new products and develop enhanced tools
  • Create and maintain project plans; regularly follow up on open items with the business and technology
  • Produce high level summaries, presentations, and updates for senior management and stakeholders
  • Develop and execute test plans to deliver seamless project solutions
  • Act as a key advisor to the senior stakeholders on the project to achieve goals and overcome obstacles
  • Be able to work independently, but keep management informed of progress / issues
  • Lead/participate in meetings at the operational and project level with management and project sponsors to discuss strategy and relevant supporting details
  • Responsible for project team execution of all project deliverables (requirements, design, etc.)
  • Effectively manage scope of projects and the expectation of project stakeholders

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Financial industry experience required; managed account product operations, product management, or investments middle office management in the financial industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple teams, coordinating across different cross-functional initiatives, and reaching consensus with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to move initiatives forward in a cross-functional and matrixed organizational model
  • Strong team player with ability to work with teams at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and influence colleagues, business leaders, and functional partners
  • Excellent analytical skills, communications and presentation skills; Confident communicator with ability to provide clear and succinct verbal and written updates for all levels of the organization
  • Excellent judgement and independent decision-making ability
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as Microsoft Project or other project management software experience
