Position: Solution Architecture

Location: Providence, RI (Onsite)

Duration: 1 Year Plus

Job Description

• Oversight of the selection of the most appropriate technology for business needs
• Oversee the evaluation of risks in third-party frameworks/platforms

• Technical background and experience in system development
• Ability to consult management and engineering teams, with regarding business analysis, project management, IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud development, and software architecture design
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations
• Ability to define the beneficial solutions and the ones which are inefficient for a particular business need
• Ability to understand business goals and how to achieve them in the set timeframe and within the given budget
• Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships with key business stakeholders and outside vendors
• Proven leadership, organizational and planning skills across different types of projects
• Experience with project management tools and best practices
• Experience with application development and software development life cycle methodologies
• Experience with ITIL practices including incident and problem management
• Required knowledge of JIRA, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with Health & Human Service systems regarding Health Insurance Exchange, Medicaid, SNAP, Child Care Assistance, and RI Works or TANF is preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Such as may have been gained through possession of a Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics or a closely related field; Master’s degree is preferred; certification in project management is preferred; and
• Experience: Such as may have been gained through ten (10) to fifteen (15) years employment in a responsible capacity in the field of managing large and technically complex information technology projects, or considerable employment in the public or private sector involving supervisory experience in solutions architecture, information management, systems design, and programming.
• Or, any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour

Compensation package:

• 1099 contract

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Providence, RI 02905: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Software development: 5 years (Preferred)
