Job Description
The Social Media Coordinator will support the Public Information Office through the development, implementation, and execution of a comprehensive social media strategy. Regularly interacts with the public, Council, and other County departments to create captivating content for use on the County"s social and digital media platforms. Must have experience in the creation and dissemination of visually creative content for promotional purposes. Must be relational, collaborative, and a creative thinker with excellent oral and written communications skills. Performs various assignments under deadline pressure. Develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.
Requires Bachelor"s degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in public relations, journalism, marketing or a closely related field. Must possess valid state driver"s license. Requires a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in social media management, marketing, and digital strategies.
