Job Description:
The Oregon State Police, Sex Offender Registration (SOR) Section in Salem, Oregon is seeking to fill one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Program Analyst 2 (SOR Support) position.

What will you do?
As a Program Analyst 2 in this position, you will conduct analytical research evaluating program outcomes and operations and develop new methods or standards that guide program operations within and outside the agency. You will also be responsible for consulting on and adapting existing or creating new procedures to solve program issues.
You will coordinate programming and service delivery, provide technical support, information and recommendations that support the management of the Oregon State Sex Offender Registration Program to meet state and federal statutory requirements and mandates. You will give consultative advice to agency staff, other state agencies, and Oregon State Police (OSP) partners. You will work under considerable independence and function in all aspects of the assignment within the limits of acceptable practices and administrative policy.

Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration):
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years’ experience coordinating or administering a program.

OR

Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
Preferred Skills (these must be addressed in your cover letter for full consideration):
  • Experience presenting information or explaining program rules and guidelines to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to measure system or program performance and experience monitoring program outcomes and evaluating results.
  • Ability to identify complex deficiencies in a program and/or system and propose meaningful solutions relative to the goals of the program.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, peers, other agencies, participants, and stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%. Please review the
