Full Description
The Hundred Acre School at Heritage Museums & Gardens is seeking talented educators to join the faculty in our STEM-focused school. The Hundred Acre School opened as a preschool in September 2014 and has continued to grow each year. In 2019, Kindergarten was added and was an instant success. In September 2021, our school expanded to offer Pre-K through grade 1, including two brand new indoor classrooms and a 9000+ square foot playground with two outdoor classrooms. In September 2023, we will complete the master plan for the school and have all classrooms open, offering PreK through grade 2. With all this growth, we are hiring! We are looking for candidates that want to find their forever home as a member of our team. The perfect candidate must have a Bachelor's degree (or Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential) and be a passionate educator who believes in a high-quality early childhood education as a career path, not just a paycheck. Our vision is to have a team of educators who live, breathe and love this profession. Teaching is more than a calling; it's a passion. Teaching goes beyond lesson plans, assignments, and assessments for the intentional teacher and includes daily interactions and partnering with each student's family regarding their education. You must be an intentional, creative, thoughtful educator who loves children, hands-on learning, STEM, and teaching and learning in the outdoors. What makes our school special?
- Five classroom school is small enough to manage but big enough to utilize a teamwork approach.
- Flexible daily schedule to support the needs of students, including 2-3 hours outside daily on the beautiful Heritage Museums & Gardens grounds
- Supplies and materials to support teaching and learning with a hands on approach so teachers don't need to purchase their own materials.
- New bright classrooms with big windows, Community Playthings furniture, SMART boards, and air conditioning.
- Professional growth is encouraged through paid PD, in-house article and book discussions, and weekly team meetings for building-based guidance, discussion, and support.
- Award-winning admin team who created the school, wrote the curriculum, and is committed to providing a high-quality learning experience.
