New Job Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist- Part Time In Montana

Job Title: Medical Office Assistant/ Receptionist- PART TIME

Location: Cardiology Office

Hourly: $15-20 per hour based on years of experience

Work Hours: Flexible; Mon- Fri approx 4-5 hours per day, 3 days per week.; Possibility for transition to a full time position depending on office and candidate needs.

SUMMARY: This position is for a PART TIME medical office assistant whose primary role is administrative. Position could be expanded to included clinical tasks for qualified applicants who have completed or hold a Medical Assistant certificate/degree. Our ideal candidate will assist our current receptionist and billing office coordinator with daily tasks which will include the following:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

• Answers phone calls; makes appointment reminder calls
• Takes messages from patients and routes calls accordingly to fellow staff/providers
• Schedule appointments ; checks in/out patients for appointments
• Scan insurance cards, picture ID into patient charts
• Assist patients/ staff with medical records requests
• Performs basic filing, scanning and photocopying duties
• Clearing Fax Server
• Assist with obtaining prior authorizations for medical services/testing
• Will provide coverage for other receptionist and staff on as needed basis
• For certified Medical Assistants- may be asked to assist nurses or providers with clinical duties to include rooming patients, taking vitals, performing EKGs, lab draws etc.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Medical Terminology training or experience
• 1-2 years of previous receptionist experience preferably in healthcare, though not required
• Excellent computer skills and understanding of Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Valid Montana Driver’s License in good standing

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
