KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage client portfolios of various size and scope within the alternative investment fund industry including private equity, real estate and/or hedge funds
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Monitor teams of tax professionals/assistants working on client projects
  • Assess tax impact on clients of rules and law changes; develop tax arguments to support conclusions and make recommendations to clients
  • Lead risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and the budget for projects
  • Deliver high quality tax services to clients

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of tax experience in the alternative investment industry
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG’s approved credential listing, any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials, should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list.
  • Proficiency in the taxation of partnerships and tiered investment fund structures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information
