The State of New Hampshire, Division of Plant and Property Management, Bureau of General Services has a full-time vacancy for Maintenance Technician.
Summary :
To perform highly skilled maintenance and repair of building systems for the Bureau of General Services.

18 Months of additional relevant experience = Associate's degree
36 Months of additional relevant experience = Bachelor's degree
54 Months of additional relevant experience = Master's degree
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education: Associate's degree from a recognized technical school with a major in mechanical or electrical technology or maintenance. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: Five years of experience in the operation and maintenance of the mechanical and electrical equipment used in buildings, with at least two years' supervisory experience. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification : Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities :
Installs, repairs and maintains heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilating systems to ensure that state buildings are maintained in proper operating condition and environmentally correct.
Adjusts, repairs and calibrates hydraulic, pneumatic, electric and electronic controls and motors to ensure that state facilities are maintained in proper and efficient operating condition.
Installs and repairs energy management data gathering panels to maintain buildings in an environmentally correct condition and minimize costly repairs and replacement.
Tests and chemically treats heating and cooling systems to maintain mechanical equipment in proper operating condition and minimize costly repairs and replacement.
Orders material and supplies in bulk and maintains an inventory of common supplies to save the state money and meet on-going work requirements.
Maintains records of maintenance logs, job costs and time to provide maintenance and budgetary information.
Trains subordinates in accordance to certification standards to ensure that work is completed in a safe and proper manner.
Supervises helpers and assists other trades personnel to complete assignment tasks.
Responds to emergency calls for building maintenance on and off regular scheduled hours to maintain state buildings and equipment in a safe and proper operating condition.
Monitors contractors to assure contract compliance and to protect state buildings from theft and vandalism.
Observes and reports areas requiring buildings and grounds maintenance and either corrects the deficiency at that time or reports deficiency to supervisor to assure the continued and proper upkeep and safety of state property.
