Responsibilities:

  • Complete investment subscription documents
  • Perform one-off financial research requests on potential investments for clients in the public markets, including publicly traded stocks, fixed income securities, and mutual funds
  • Analyze alternative investment opportunities, including private company direct investments, private equity funds, hedge fund strategies, commercial real estate offerings, alternative credit strategies, and fund-of-funds through fund presentation decks and conference calls with fund managers; create and maintain internal reporting documents for fund performances
  • Assist in preparation of key documents for client and prospect meetings, including investment pitch books, client balance sheets, quarterly capital market outlooks, cash position projection, risk analysis, and monthly portfolio performance reports
  • Responding to account activity and statement inquiries
  • Handle operational aspects of client accounts including reporting on account holdings and investment performance, fulfilling clients’ capital calls cash needs, posting daily cash activity, entering trade instructions, and processing all client cashiering requests (money market redemptions, wires, checks, journals, check deposits, etc.).
  • Conduct the trading and implementation of client investment strategies
  • Identify new investment products, review opportunities, keep track of market trends, and analyze risk for new investment products. Provide commentary and reports as necessary.
  • Research, collect and analyze information to assist the advisors in making effective decisions on client portfolios and investment opportunities
  • Perform due diligence and research of new and existing investment managers, alternative investments, and related financial partners, products, and services
  • Maintain database of investment information and monitor performance of all existing investments
  • Analysis of portfolio returns and contributors/detractors on both an absolute basis and relative to benchmarks when appropriate
  • Assist in analysis of portfolio risk and risk mitigation techniques including hedging
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and development of financial plans and cash flow projections
  • Analysis of macroeconomic trends and activities, and provide macroeconomic financial market commentaries for clients
  • Attend compliance and continuing education training sessions as required by regulatory agencies and the firm.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of wealth management experience.
  • Must have experience in investments and portfolio reporting. Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, FactSet, Envestnet and performance reporting systems such as Tamarac.
  • Must be licensed in Series 7 and 66.
