The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department’s (OTRD) mission is to advance the exceptional quality of life in Oklahoma by preserving, maintaining, and promoting our natural assets and cultural amenities.

OTRD is seeking a part-time Housekeeper at Roman Nose State Park Lodge in Watonga, OK. The hourly pay for this position is $10.00.
Job Description
Basic Purpose
Under general direction, performs varied work involving the performance of assigned cleaning and upkeep tasks and other related work as required.
Typical Functions
  • Sweeps, mops, dusts, polishes, waxes, and otherwise cleans specifically assigned rooms, corridors, stairs, and facades.
  • Keeps ice water coolers, sandboxes, spittoons, fish bowls, stoves, refrigerators, and similar furnishings in clean, usable condition.
  • Does occasional minor repair work on furnishings, such as tightening loose screws.
  • Assists in shifting about of furnishings.
  • Collects and disposes of waste and garbage.
  • Cares for equipment such as mops, brooms, and dust clothes.
  • Operates a vacuum cleaner or waxer at intervals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Three (3) Months of experience in custodial work.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
Ability to work long hours while standing and the ability to follow simple oral instructions.
Special Requirements
  • To operate state-owned vehicles in the performance of regularly assigned duties; a successful applicant must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license at the time of appointment.
