Full Description
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Financial Counselor for our HIMG Central Business Office Department. The Financial Counselor, under the supervision of the Patient Accounting Manager or authorized designee, is responsible for making contact with patients, obtaining necessary credit and insurance information, follows up on private pay and performs other related duties.
Requirements:EDUCATION:
High school graduate with ability to read and do math on a high school grade level.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in credit or experience working with a commercial insurance company.
SKILLS:
Ability to maintain good public relations with patients and third-party payors. Must have windows application skills.
