Position Summary:

Incumbent is responsible for financial management of accounts relating to Titles and Registration (TR) and Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV). Processes internal Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) payments, completes reconciliation and consolidation of employee cash drawers, and prepares daily receipts for deposit. Reconciles county remittance to state reports to ensure correct amount is submitted. Processes distribution payments of CMV counties as well as other Internal Registration Plan (IRP) jurisdictions. Works with county staff on an individual basis to resolve discrepancies and educate. Corrects policy and procedures, analyzes data to determine trends and recommends corrective actions.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications: Six months of experience in providing direction necessary to implement the objectives of an agency, program or organizational unit. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

Preferred Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, proofreading, editing, and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience: Six months of accounting experience or six hours of college accounting coursework.
