Duties As a Content Strategist with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Human Resource Solutions, Federal Staffing Center, USAJOBS Program office, you will be responsible for increasing user-centered content practices and promoting content best practices for job seekers using USAJOBS.gov to search for Federal employment. Over 16 million applications are received by USAJOBS annually. Your work will be vital to the mission of OPM and will help connect seekers with meaningful Federal opportunities. Duties Include: Writing clear and accessible content to meet user needs and expectations. Reviewing and editing deliverables to ensure content follows style guide standards, is accurate and uses plain language. Recommending and executing content strategies to meet user and/or customer goals. Leading content development for the USAJOBS.gov, Openopps.usajobs.gov, and agencyportal.usajobs.gov websites from product concept through delivery. Collaborating with teams (e.g., development, design, product, and project) to ensure content meets business requirements and best practices. (BU Code - 2286) Qualifications Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. GS:13: You must possess at least one year (52 weeks, full-time) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing ALL the following duties: Writing content according to writing standards (e.g., style guide, plain language, accuracy, accessibility) to meet customer or user needs; Reviewing and editing deliverables to ensure content follows writing standards (e.g., style guide, plain language, accuracy, accessibility); Leading content development for a website from concept through delivery; AND Collaborating with teams (e.g., development, design, product, project) to define and/or develop web content vision and strategies You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
