We are looking for a Food Manager to join our team and oversee the operations of our quick-service food department. The ideal candidate will have experience in both fast-casual and quick-service restaurants, be professional and able to work well with younger staff, as well as an understanding of food safety regulations. The Food Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the food service department, including training staff, expediting orders in a timely manner, ensuring food quality of orders, monitoring inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for an food service professional to develop management experience in a high profile setting, as well as a recent graduate to demonstrate their skills.

This position is season and runs from June 19 through September 4th. Shared Housing is an option for the right candidate. H2B Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Manage and train staff to ensure they are following all food safety regulations.
• Ensure that all food is prepared according to company standards.
• Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Expedite Food orders in a timely manner and ensuring standards are met.
• Develop special menu items.
• Ensure that all customer service standards are met.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Physical setting:

• Fast casual restaurant
• Quick service & fast food restaurant

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Mount Desert, ME 04660: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Supervising experience: 1 year (Required)
