Description

A 188-bed community hospital, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center is growing and investing in its anesthesiology and surgical services. The center offers the personalized and friendly atmosphere of a community hospital coupled with the world-leading resources and specialty care of its clinical affiliate: Massachusetts General Hospital.

Here, our team has access to high-tech equipment and uses AIMS EMR systems from Picis and Epic. The team also works in tandem with surgeons and other physicians from locally based Foundation Medical Partners, as well as from Dartmouth, Lahey Clinic, MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, and other private practices.

Our practice consists of 10 physicians and 12 CRNAs providing services to eight state-of-the-art operating rooms, four non-OR locations, and two surgical center locations.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
