THE POSITION

This position serves as the Department of Revenue’s Agency Telework Coordinator and is responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing employee development initiatives that support the department’s mentoring and onboarding programs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This Administrative Officer 2 provides administrative support to the director’s staff and other division managers, and you will provide guidance to department managers, supervisors, and employees on the commonwealth’s telework program. You will review and approve telework agreements for all positions that are eligible for either full-time or part-time telework.

You will also develop, recommend, and implement employee development initiatives in support of the department’s mentoring and onboarding programs; deliver training programs and workshops, both in person and virtually; and you will work in the commonwealth’s Learning Management System to offer employee development opportunities and to record completion.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, in the office 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1; or
  • Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
  • One or more years of experience in designing and developing training courses.
  • One or more years of experience in facilitating training programs, either in person or virtually.
  • One or more years of experience in evaluating training programs.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):
  • Experience in managing a department-level program which includes providing guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees and making decisions in line with department policy.
