RESPONSIBILITIES: In the advising aspects of their role, they will partner with the Dean of Academic and College Advising, the Directors of Academic and College Advising, respectively, and other members of the Academic Affairs Department in support of the organizational and department goals in delivering against Culver’s mission. This Academic and College Advisor role will be responsible for supporting approximately 65 students across all grade levels, 9 – 12, throughout their Culver academic experience as they explore potential academic and career interests, as well as navigate college selection and application processes. In the CMA Head Rowing Coach aspect of their role, they will partner with the Athletic Director and the CGA Head Rowing Coach to support the athletic department and rowing program goals in delivering against Culver’s mission. REQUIREMENTS: • Experience as a head rowing coach of an elite program with demonstrated success in motivating young men and teams to achieve.

- Experience working with state, regional, and national rowing organizations. • In-depth knowledge of teaching rowing fundamentals and skills. A skilled trainer who is capable of continuously adapting to the strengths of the current team. • Experience mentoring or advising students or student-athletes.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills: ability to meet people with ease and communicate the written and spoken word with tact. • Expertise in writing and editing effectively. • Ability to anticipate needs, see opportunities and use exceptional judgment in dealing with confidential information. • Ability to work effectively within a team, as well as independently.
- Ability to meet deadlines, take initiative, and demonstrate personal accountability. • Highly organized and self-motivated with good problem-solving. • Advanced computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). • Minimum BA/BS Degree, Master’s Degree preferred.
