Job Description

This position will be exposed to a variety of areas of law and work within various divisions in the Department of Attorney General. The position will primarily work under the direction of Assistant Attorneys General and assist with legal research based on specific questions of law and policy and prepare legal memoranda. The position will also assist with drafting of routine pleadings, correspondence, and other documents. The position will review discovery, prepare summaries, assist AAGs in preparing for hearings and trials, attend depositions and meetings with clients and/or opposing parties and their counsel, and otherwise provide assistance and support to AAGs as needed in litigation and advising clients. In addition to working with AAGs, the position will work directly with legal assistants, support staff and other professionals on various tasks.
