The Public Utility Commission is seeking a highly motivated multi-tasker who is very detailed-oriented to join our Motor Carrier team with our Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement. If you're ready for a rewarding career in public service, apply today!
This position is with the Motor Carrier Enforcement Section in the Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement. In this position you will be responsible for reviewing investigation and inspection reports and determining if violations of the Public Utility Code and Commission regulations have been committed. This position also processes informal complaints, safety audits, household good audits, and more as well as preparing warning letters to the carriers for violations found in Title 66 and 52 along with other duties as directed.

Full-time employment.

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

The headquarters location will be determined based on the selected candidate's location in either Harrisburg, Pennsylvania or Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Telework: Part-time telework may be a feature of this position. The successful candidate is required to report to the headquarters worksite daily, unless the employee meets eligibility requirements and telework has been approved. To be eligible to participate in telework, the employee's alternate (telework) worksite must meet the following requirements: The telework worksite must be located 1.) within a reasonable travel distance of Harrisburg or Scranton; and 2.) within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Management may discontinue any telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. Candidates who do not wish to telework, or who are not eligible to telework, will work from the office in Harrisburg or Scranton.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in utility regulation; or
-
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
