Job Summary

  • Telework (Within Minnesota or Neighboring States) and flexible hour options may be available.

This position works in collaboration with Minnesota Health Care Program (MHCP) system users representing the department, administration, division, MNsure, and MHCP processing entities such as counties, tribes, and Health Care Consumer Supports (HCCS) to:

  • Perform analysis and diagnosis; and implement approved solutions for MHCP user system defects, procedures, work arounds, and policy applications.
  • Act as a contact for MHCP system users and other stakeholders to resolve or appropriately escalate complex MHCP system coding, interface, worker error, and other problems by responding to, tickets, email, and other communication

Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP). MHCP encompasses a wide array of programs such as Medical Assistance (MA), including MA for Long Term Care (LTC), MA for Families and Adults without Children, MA for Breast and Cervical Cancer, etc.; MinnesotaCare; Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC) and Qualified Health Plans (QHP); Minnesota Family Planning Program (MFPP); Hospital Presumptive Eligibility (HPE); Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA); and Medicare Saving Programs, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

One (1) year professional experience working with Health Care Programs (example: Minnesota Care, Medical Assistance, home and community-based services).

  • Experience with eligibility and financial technology systems (such as METS, MAXIS, MMIS)
  • Experience reading, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures.

OR

Three (3) years advanced technical experience with Health Care Programs (example: Minnesota Care, Medical Assistance, home and community-based services).

  • Experience with eligibility and financial technology systems (such as METS, MAXIS, MMIS)
  • Experience reading, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures.

*** Bachelor’s degree or higher in health care administration, business administration or related field may substitute for two (2) years of advanced technical experience***

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally; to present complex information to users in a comprehensive style; and to translate technical and system information for non-technical customer.
  • Experience working with the new Minnesota Eligibility Technology Systems (METS).
  • Experience working with MMIS and MAXIS.
  • Experience administering Minnesota Health Care Programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
