Full Description

The Medical Administrative Senior Representative reports to the Customer Service/Patient Access Lead within Evernorth home solutions. This role is responsible for being the first point of contact for customers (patients, families) and providers.

What you must have

High school diploma or equivalent

Twelve months of experience in patient scheduling or equivalent experience working in a medical office environment

Knowledge of Medical terminology

Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills

Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills in a complex organization

Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate with a variety of individuals in a positive manner.

Candidate will work Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM Pacific Standard Time Zone.

Duties and Responsibilities

Answering all inbound calls in a timely fashion and route them to the appropriate resource

Appropriately documenting phone calls in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Providing callers with accurate information and educating them on appropriate policies and procedures.

Effectively redirecting callers to the appropriate area/individual when necessary.

Maintaining knowledge of procedures and systems.

Communicating client concerns and feedback to management.

Researching and processing all correspondence received by email, fax and mail.

Must possess excellent customer service skills.

Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.

Proven oral and written communications skills.

Maintain the ability to work under pressure and effectively multi-task between calls and correspondence.

Promote a positive customer service approach in all internal and external customer experiences by demonstrating courtesy behaviors and focusing on patient satisfaction

Manage incoming tasks and emails as needed

Patient information is consistently maintained in a private and secure manner, complying with HIPAA Guidelines at all times

Work towards achieving your individual goals, which help the organization reach its objectives

Perform other duties as assigned

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 18 - 27 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
