Job Description
Under general direction; supervises secretarial support staff of the Appointing Authority’s office; performs secretarial duties for (e.g. schedules appointments travel, screens mail and calls, takes dictation, etc.); assists in budgeting; maintains office supplies; authorizes expenditures; manages budget. Performs other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities listed below.
Completion of secondary education supplemented by coursework in business and the secretarial sciences, plus five (5) years secretarial experience, including one (1) year supervisory experience, or equivalent combinations of training and/or experience.

Description of Job Duty
The duties listed below are intended to depict tasks performed by this classification.
Supervises monitoring and evaluation of assigned programs and services; supervises investigative, compliance, and support service staff (e.g., plans, schedules, and assigns work; trains staff and evaluates employee work performance; interviews job applicants and recommends for hiring; receives and adjusts grievances; approves leave requests; recommends commendations and disciplinary actions as necessary; etc.); directs review, research, and analysis of program operations, systems, and procedures; may direct and/or coordinate investigation of suspected fraud and/or misrepresentation; coordinates analysis of errors in program implementation and service deliver and recommends corrective action plans/procedures.
Establishes and implements unit policies and procedures; interprets federal and state statutes and regulations; communicates with other administrative staff, law enforcement officials, and prosecutor’s office as appropriate; assists in negotiation of repayments and/or preparations for civil or criminal court proceedings; provides technical guidance and assistance to staff.
Prepares or directs preparation of statistical data and administrative reports; coordinates maintenance of files and records; receives and responds to inquiries and complaints; prepares correspondence.
Attends meetings, conferences, and seminars as assigned.
