This position will have temporary remote and hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need.

Description of Job

The salary range for this posting is:
$33.95 - $41.85 Hourly
$2,715.69 - $3,348.00 Biweekly
$5,884.00 - $7,254.00 Monthly
$70,608.00 - $87,048.00 Annually

This position exists to serve as a supervisor and subject matter expert on the administration of a Claim Management Unit within the FAMLI Division. This position assists the manager to assign, schedule, and prioritize work activities, as well as assists to monitor their team’s work performance. As a supervisor and core knowledge subject matter expert, this position imparts advanced knowledge, technical guidance, and policy direction to Claim Adjudicators, peers, supervisors, and FAMLI management. This position maintains acceptable levels of performance and assures adequacy of documentation and reasoning applied to claims assigned to the work unit.

The position ensures that the unit activities are being administered within program guidelines and requirements and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and/or standards. Assists with integration and creation and assimilation of new or modified policies, practices, or procedures into daily routines. Serves as a content knowledge resource for work units and peers by answering questions related to the FAMLI Claim Management Branch. The position collaborates with peers and supervisors to identify and recommend changes in work processes and/or procedures and coaches team members on performance to improve program quality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.


Education and Experience:


Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.

AND

Three years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position to include: Account management, project supervision, claims adjudication, absence management, human resources.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Work Lead and/or supervisory experience.
  • Experience with the Absence Industry or administering Family & Medical Leave Insurance.
  • Experience managing a remote workforce.
  • Previous experience performing alike duties as a classified State of Colorado employee.
