Overview

The Contract Administration (CA) section at the Agency of Transportation (AOT) is a fast-paced setting dedicated to innovation and improvement in serving our internal and external customers. The incumbent will serve as a Contract Specialist in the Grants Unit. The Grants Unit is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing grant funding to sub-recipients for the Agency. This position requires the ability to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.

Class Definition

This class is the first of four levels within the Agency of Transportation (AOT) Contracts Specialist series. Basic level procurement and contracting work involving assembling documents to support procurement through contract execution, maintaining transparency data, and prequalifying contractors. Work is performed under and administrative or professional manager.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in an office setting. Communication with contractors is present.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree or certificate program in contract administration, public administration, accounting, business management, legal, or related field.

OR

High school or equivalent AND one (1) year or more of experience at a technical level in contract administration or a related field.
