This Administrative Officer 1 performs independent professional and administrative work in an election program within the Pennsylvania Department of State. This is responsible staff work performing a wide variety of administrative duties to assist in the management of agency programs. Work may involve assisting with the management of an election program/area of specialty with statewide scope involving research and considerable complexity, and coordinating field work to ensure compliance and interpretation of election policies and procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring that Pennsylvania's polling places meet all federal and state accessibility requirements, including physical accessibility, and voting system accessibility. This Administrative Officer works with voting system vendors and county officials to ensure that all aspects of voting system accessibility requirements are met, and also monitors and advises counties regarding changing technology and changing laws pertaining to voting system accessibility. You will work with counties and vendors to learn or advise on innovative ways of making polling places accessible, and will prepare training materials regarding polling place accessibility.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.- Work hours are 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
