MSA combines hands-on expertise with information and technology to minimize our client’s vulnerabilities to threats and lessen risks in order to protect their personnel and property.

MSA Security is currently looking for qualified individuals to fill openings for Screeners. The candidate must be able to work with our highly intelligent SmartTech x-ray software.

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Inspect items, using x-ray viewing equipment, to determine whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation.
  • View images of bags and cargo, using remote screening equipment, and alert baggage screeners or handlers to any possible problems.
  • Communicate situation details to appropriate personnel.
  • Notify supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
  • Communicate situation details to appropriate personnel.
  • Send items through automated screening machines, and set bags aside for searching or re-screening as indicated by equipment.
  • Inspect to identify potential hazards.
  • Record information about any baggage that sets off alarms in monitoring equipment.
  • Record information about suspicious objects.
  • Contact leads or supervisors to discuss objects of concern that are not on prohibited object lists.
  • Communicate situation details to appropriate personnel.

Qualified applicants will have:

  • Have worked in a professional security setting ideally with a Guard License
  • Strong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to self-manage
  • Ability to work weekends, various shifts, evening/late night event coverage
  • Must be a US citizen or be authorized to work in the United States
  • Military experience is a must
  • College degree a plus
