New Job Materials Manager In Alabama

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Requisition all raw materials (i.e. corrugated boxes, film, pallets, packaging, labels, etc.)
• Manage BRC documents, procedures, and implementation of inventory procedures
• Obtain and maintain records, keeping vendor letters of guarantee, third party audits, and vendor questionnaires
• Manage shrinkage reports
• Ensure maintenance of freight logs
• Ensure completion of physical inventories, and posting to assigned reports
• Ensure accurate physical inventory counts
• Manage returned inventory process, ensuring proper credits of returned materials

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience in process improvement initiatives
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of USDA regulatory guidelines
• Proven management skills in distribution operations
• Proven communication, training and leadership skills

Physical/Environmental Factors:

Typical office environment within a plant setting:

• Use of computer, telephone and other office equipment
• May encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day
• Regularly required to sit, talk, and listen
• Repetitive hand motions, and occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs
• Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels
• Exposure to strong, raw meat odor
