Overview:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- The Electronic Technician I will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical and electronic devices, systems, and components. Usually works within established procedures, performing a wide variety of nonstandard complex tasks in the electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, video, CC TV, Laser, RF/Microwave communications, Radar, or optical areas. Evaluate and resolve equipment and system problems.
- Troubleshoot and repair to component level: CCTV systems and components, Infrared system, Radio Frequency systems and components, Night Vision Goggles, Fiberscope, Cameras, and Other electronic devices
- Troubleshoot and repair digital and analog devices
- Solder skills parts as needed.
- Recommend process improvements or procedure modifications.
- Determine types of tests to be performed both when out on field sites and in the main office.
- Make on-the-spot decisions to determine if repairs can be done immediately or if the parts need to be ordered and completed back at the shop area.
- Initiate and prepare written equipment status reports.
- Communicate effectively with other technical personnel.
- Ability to work as team member.
- Adhere to Safety and Security processes and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Active Secret security clearance
- Valid Driver’s License
- Required to work early or late 8-hour flex shifts and perform immediate on-site field service of equipment. Requires 25% or greater travel on short notice. May be required to climb towers at heights greater than 50 feet
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
- Must have proven meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, good organizational skills, and ability to self-direct and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Required to adhere to all government agency guidelines as it applies to COVID vaccine Attestation/Restrictions.
