New job Administrative Fellowship in Wisconsin

The Opportunity: Aspirus is seeking a highly driven fellow who seeks the opportunity to learn all aspects of an IBM Watson Top 15 Health System dedicated to rural healthcare. Reporting to, and having a direct mentorship with the President, Regional Markets (MHA ’03), the fellow will have access to all functions of an integrated health system. Significant interaction with many executives, including rural hospital leaders will be a regular component of this fellowship.

The fellowship is planned for one year with the fellow participating in and leading multiple projects across multiple Regional Market entities. During the fellowship, it is expected that the fellow will participate as a contributing member of the Regional Market leadership team. As Aspirus continues the journey to improve quality, access and affordability, the fellow can anticipate participating in areas such as:

• Executive meetings, at all levels of the organization
• Board of Directors meetings at both a corporate as well as local business unit level
• Strategic and operational planning sessions
• Growth and development (including relationship development, board negotiations and contract renewal negotiations)
• Medical Staff functions
• Operations (Acute, Post-acute, clinic-based)
• Quality Improvement work

Upon completion of the Fellowship, areas of opportunity could include direct operations or corporate support functions.

Wausau, Wisconsin is located in the lovely Wisconsin River valley at the center of the state. We have a metro area population of 80,000 with excellent schools, busy performing arts center, large private music conservatory, and visual arts center.

Quiet residential neighborhoods surround Lake Wausau and overlook the Wisconsin River or have views of Rib Mountain State Park. A normal commute is ten minutes to any part of town. We enjoy four seasons of recreation including all water sports, sailing, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, soccer, down-hill and cross-country skiing. We are conveniently located three hours from Milwaukee and Minneapolis.
