Full Description

The Administration Manager manages the Therapeutic Accelerator team’s calendars, coordinates special projects, arranges meetings, and resolves a variety of complex administrative problems. This position also provides support to all areas of the Therapeutic Accelerator as needed.

Responsibilities
1. Manage the Therapeutic Accelerator team’s schedules. 2. Coordinate and facilitate events and meetings, including creating detailed meeting agendas and notes for distribution to relevant parties. 3. Coordinate special projects & ensure projects proceed on schedule; resolve and communicate any obstacles. 4. Assists with the implementation and communication of Accelerator policies, particularly in respect to special projects. 5. Researches, analyzes and prepares administrative and statistical reports and documents as needed. 6. Provides editing and formatting final touch on presentation decks. 7. Lead committees as assigned.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Incumbents use independent judgement in resolving various problems that involve faculty, staff, students and the general public. Must use judgement and discretion when advising others of the executive’s view on policies and other issues. This position initiates and has input in the hiring and employment decisions related to subordinate staff.

Incumbents in this position may be required to represent the executive at meetings and interact with individuals at the highest levels in public and private organizations on a local and national basis.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Four to six years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department.

Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required.

Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred.

Preferences

4+ years office management and/or executive administrative support experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or a related field

Two years office management and supervisory experience, demonstrated knowledge of finance and budgeting, and public relations skills

Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skill
