Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity to join a Supply Chain Contracting team in Tukwila, WA as an Associate Procurement Agent and join us on a journey that navigates one of the most complex supply chains in the world.

This team procures goods and services in support of all Boeing Defense Programs and offers a unique opportunity to support and enable operations across many areas of the Boeing Company. The procurement agent will execute and manage contracts for a variety of products and services that range in value and complexity. The ideal candidate possesses operational and financial business acumen, adaptability, effective communication skills, problem solving skills, conflict management skills, and initiative.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
  • Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements.
  • Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.
  • Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Tukwila, WA.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • More than 1 year of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Passion for Aerospace Products and Services.
  • More than 1 year of experience negotiating non-competitive, government procurement that exceed the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) threshold.
  • More than 1 year of experience working with multiple contracts types- FFP, CPFF, T&M.
  • More than 1 year of experience with an MRP system and how it applies to production control and the purchasing process.
  • More than 1 year of experience in government related procurement with adherence to FAR/DFAR.
  • Experience with BDS Commons Systems Tools Suite.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.)

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.
