Description
The Division of Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSC) is looking for a Regional Program Manager for FRYSC Region 6. FRYSC provides support to the school districts across the state for implementation of the FRYSC program. Located in most Kentucky schools, the FRYSC program seeks to remove non-academic learning barriers for kids through the components set forth in KRS 156.496. The Division offers a positive and collaborative working environment which seeks to keep kids and their families' needs at the forefront of decision making.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serves as the channel of communications and line of authority between the Division Director and Assistant Director to all Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSC) and School Districts in assigned multi-county region.
  • Oversees regional advisory council and budgets.
  • Provides ongoing guidance, support, and technical assistance to FRYSC's in the assigned multi-county region; reviews FRYSC programs to determine compliance with KRS 156.497.
  • Provides administrative support to the Division Director and Director by serving as the channel of communication to and from local school districts.
  • Monitors FRYSC programs statewide to determine their compliance/non-compliance with KRS 156.497 and the CHFS Contract.
  • Supervises the maintenance of all regional records; serves on various inter-agency task forces and committees to promote collaboration among service providers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate would be:

  • Think analytically, effectively, and accurately
  • Able to communicate both written and verbally, as well as, collaborate well with others
  • Strong customer service skills are necessary
  • Previous experience as a Family Resource and Youth Service Center coordinator or other work in a school setting preferred

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of experience in the administration of or the direct delivery of social services, health services, or employment services to client.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Graduate study in social services, health administration, public or business administration, or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Administrative and/or management experience in any of the above mentioned fields will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions
Works primarily in an office setting. Occasional travel required within region and to Frankfort.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
