The Director of State Government Affairs will develop and execute proactive advocacy strategies in Idaho, Virginia, California and other key geographies. This position will directly represent Micron’s issues and values before government officials, as well as leverage trade associations, consultants and other key stakeholder groups to drive legislative priorities at the state and local levels. The Director will also anticipate political challenges and advise Micron leadership on legislative and regulatory opportunities and risks, and collaborate with legal, operations, finance, strategy and communications colleagues. This position will report to the Head of Global Government and Public Affairs and will be based in Boise.

Responsible for coordinating and implementing state government relations strategy within an individual state or small region. Provides direction and guidance to State Government Relations Representatives who are engaged in lobbying or liaison activities at all government levels. This position may also engage directly in such lobbying and liaison activities leveraging an extensive personal network of contacts within the state or small region. This position may engage consultants, lobbyists and other specialists as required to attain the overall government relations objectives for the assigned state.
