ROLE SUMMARY
As a Clinical Supply Optimization Associate (CSOA), you will support the end-to-end optimization of clinical supply chain activity by leveraging approved tools and resources, providing insights, and contributing the Patient First culture within Global Clinical Supply (GCS). Utilizing existing stochastic tools and processes, the CSOA will work with GCS colleagues to interpret protocol requirements and translate them into system parameters for the optimization software. The CSOA will simulate various scenarios to evaluate the optimal solution and help prepare presentation materials that highlight the preferred strategy.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish relationships with customers and members of the Clinical Supply Team and liaises between the business, Digital and vendor resources to execute clinical supply optimization scenarios
Set up, modify, and run clinical supply simulations and present outputs to help customers to drive decisions
Assist with the maintenance of master data within the simulation tool as needed
Support processes to identify protocols which would benefit from supply optimization and coordinate the data collection activities to model the study as early as possible
Work with customers to prepare effective communications highlighting the key decisions being made based on outputs from the optimization software
Work within the Clinical Supply Optimization group to assist with tracking cost savings and value drivers (e.g. patient risk) resulting from the use of the optimization tool
Attend Clinical Supply Team and/or Study Team meetings as needed to support the interpretation and application of the supply plan simulations
Assist with user training as needed and provide ongoing support
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in data sciences, supply chain or scientific discipline
Master’s degree with some level of industry experience via research collaboration or internship preferred
Strong facilitation, organization, presentation, and written communication skills are a must
Ability to work in ambiguous situations
Demonstrated skills in analysis and problem solving
Knowledge & experience working with statistical tools such as simulation software preferred
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
May need to work with customers across global time zones.
