GDIT has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Logistician Analyst at C5ISR Regional Support Center Detachment at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii to support customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance, and/or repair activities. Performs functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, inventory reductions, cost savings, vendor selection and distribution. Creates integrated processes among internal functions and outside suppliers. Pack, wrap and shipping of Government Furnished Property and Equipment. Must have a current and active Secret clearance. Must have AMMO 62 certification and GCSS-Army experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates within all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA).
  • Use Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army) to enter, update and maintain maintenance records.
  • Shipping and receiving frequent lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds.
  • Establish and maintain stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports.
  • Review and verify quantities received against bills of contracts, purchase requests and shipping documents.
  • Contributes and may provide guidance to the completion of significant logistics projects.
  • Unload, unpack, count, segregate, palletize and store incoming supplies and equipment.
  • Construct bins, shelving and other storage aids.
  • Simplify and standardize the collection and use of maintenance data.
  • Raise the quality and accuracy of performance, cost and parts data through improved maintenance management.
  • Verifies and keeps automated and manual records on incoming/outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and machinery operation of forklift requiring the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats.
  • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment. Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled.
  • Acquires and maintains Hazardous Material Shipping and Fork Lift Operation certifications.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
  • Current and Active Secret clearance
  • High school diploma and above
  • Experience using Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-Army), perform routine database update entries, maintain routine communications using email, phone, and general status briefings, and provide other logistical support for C4ISR RSC as required.
  • Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) experience is a plus.
  • Hazardous Material Shipping and Handling Certifications Ammo-62 Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials (CERT) is a plus
  • Knowledge of standard military transportation/distribution procedures a plus.
