The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Shift Production Supervisor for the Filtrete™ Value Stream, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Supervising a production team on a 12-hour night shift schedule
• Leading an hourly manufacturing team and assisting with the scale-up of new manufacturing processes
• Championing the deployment of Lean Manufacturing
• Working closely with the Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure production schedules are well aligned and executed
• Developing an organization focused on continuous improvement; uses Lean Six Sigma tools to teach others
• Willingness to be on-call

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and six (6) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  OR
• Associate’s Degree/Technical Diploma (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and four (4) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  OR
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and two (2) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a supply chain or technical discipline
• Supervisory experience
• Experience participating in and/or leading teams in process scale-up
• LSS Green Belt Training and Certification
• Experience with 3M’s Manufacturing Model

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
