Summary of Work


This is a full-time position that must ensure the compliance of protected health information along with the oversight of the release of information process. This includes ensuring the correct completion of all releases of information so that requested protected health information is released according to various State and Federal laws. This position also provides support through the health information department to assist with the proper storing, safeguarding, and accessibility as allowed by policy. This position also provides backup to the Support Services Team through cross training and filling in as needed or required.

Minimum Qualifications


Requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of office support, clerical or secretarial work experience. Coursework in a vocational office support or closely related program may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.

The successful candidate must demonstrate organizational skills, multitasking ability, be self-motivated, and have strong interpersonal, customer service and communications skills. This position requires an applicant who can work independently. Accuracy is critical in performing the duties of this position.

Preference will be given to those with protected health information experience.
