Start Rate: $23/hr

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Assistant Manager will provide support to the restaurant manager in daily operational leadership. Maintain and control a high level of guest service in all operational standards. Assist in the hiring, training, supervising and development of staff, ensure compliance to Public Health Standards while ensuring superior guest satisfaction.

Primary Tasks:

  • Assist with overseeing the venue by hiring, training, evaluating, leading, motivating, scheduling and coaching all staff.

  • Monitor and critique food and beverage service and offerings to ensure proper quality.

  • Contribute input with all planning and administration duties pertinent to the success of the operation.

  • Control food and beverage labor and food costs.

  • Monitor venue to ensure compliance with all alcohol, food, health, safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Maintain profitability by forecasting, staffing correctly, product comparison and monthly inventorying.

  • Respond to guest feedback regarding food and service exceeding all expectations to ensure high level of guest satisfaction.

  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Associates degree in hospitality or related field

  • ServSafe Certification

  • Ability to become certified as a manager in franchise outlets

  • Highly organized, detailed oriented, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

  • Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP, including computer-based cash handling experience

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong POS operational experience.

  • Knowledge of government health, hotel, or food service regulations

  • Knowledge of operational financial management accountability and budgeting experience

  • Three (3) years of progressive management experience in front & back of house multi-unit food and beverage operations

  • Expert knowledge of government health, hotel, or food service regulations.

  • Excellent operational financial management accountability and budgeting experience.

  • Five (5) years management experience in front & back of house multi-unit food and beverage operations including casual and/or upscale/Fine Dining Experience.
