Our Rochester, NY office is seeking a Basic Construction Inspector Trainee for various environmental engineering projects. This position will report to the Construction Inspection Manager and will require a high school diploma and a certificate of completion from the City of Rochester REJob 2.0 Training Program. The candidate will perform construction inspection services for assigned construction projects.

- Perform construction inspections in accordance with company and project protocols.
- Measure and document construction activities to insure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Perform computation of quantities and test values.
- Perform basic field testing and communicate test results to internal and external customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Requires high school diploma (or equivalent).
- Must have good communication skills and be able to maintain neat and accurate records.
- Requires the ability to perform basic calculations for the purpose of determining yield, quantities, etc.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safe work practices.
- Requires solid verbal and written communication skills.
- This position requires varied hours including some nights, weekend, holiday and overtime work hours.
- This position requires the ability to travel including overnight stays as the project requires.
