Storekeeper 1 - Part-Time

Job Duties

Under general supervision, receives and distributes stock, supplies and/or equipment in storeroom. Reviews invoices, purchase order codes and/or packing slips to ensure correctness of items and to ensure accurate quantities delivered, inspects stock for damage and expiration date if applicable, unloads stock, fills orders, delivers stock and stores, appropriately. Enters data regarding new/transferred assets and those assets no longer property of DODD; reviews computerized asset maintenance input sheets for accuracy. Enters data regarding space utilization and submits changes to Central Office; corrects errors regarding space utilization data appearing in system. Orders supplies and/or equipment; completes inventory and other related records; rotates stock for efficient storage; moves furniture, processes in-coming and/or out-going mail; cleans and organized as needed, photocopies material; operates equipment to move and store stock or equipment; checks orders for correctness.

Manages storeroom records regarding inventory systems; maintains inventory files/reports for auditing purposes, sets up and maintains files regarding Request to Purchase, Purchase Orders, Receiving Reports/Requisitions, etc., presents records for review with appropriate parties (e.g., Department, State and Federal Audits).

Performs other related duties as required (e.g. Inventories supplies and conduct inventory of assets).

Qualifications

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions & percentages;


AND 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in inventory control.


-Or- equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Employees working in a drug central warehouse or storeroommust pass security screen.

Knowledge of inventory control; agency storeroom or warehouse procedures*; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages; OSHA &/or other applicable safety standards & practices*. Skill in operation of equipment (e.g., pharmaceutical repackaging, forklift)*. Ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions (e.g., chemical storage) & take appropriate action; sort items into categories according to established methods; complete forms accurately; work alone on most tasks; lift up to 60 lbs. of stock or equipment repeatedly.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
May be exposed to extreme temperatures while working in cold storage or outdoors.
